Surprise!

 Happy Monday Everyone! My surprise is- I am doing my FIRST EVER outfit post! :)) Yay me!

Brannon and I went out on Friday night, and I wanted to wear my adorable new dress! 

And I was able to get him to take pictures of me!

We had a great date night. Went out to eat at TGIF, and I had a black bean burger for the first time ever, and let me tell you, it was really good!! I was shocked. :)) 

After, we ventured over to World Market. Okay... I haven't been there in at least 3 years. Oh, my, gosh. That store is AMAZING!! For my birthday, you can send me World Market loot. ;)) 

Then we went and hung out at Barnes and Noble, and then got some yummy frozen yogurt at TCBY.

Watermelon Attack!

 So... totally ditched school today. *oops*

 Today we were just sketching and coming up with ideas for our projects. Why go to school for that when I can sit outside in the gorgeous sunshine and sketch instead? ....

 Exactly.

 So.. In my illustrator class we have to design a poster for the End Of The World!! ie- whatever the heck you want, but how you think it will look like when the world ends.

 So... I don't want this to be a serious poster. Cuz. That would be lame, and I'm not into the whole sci-fi thing. So then it would be Biblical and I don't really know whats gonna happen so then it would be lame because whatever I come up with wont be as amazing as when Jesus comes back..

So I think I'm gonna go out on a limb and say... "WATERMELONS ARE GOING TO TAKE OVER THE EARTH!!!"

 Anyone else have something more clever than that?

 (please tell me your ideas- cuz obviously I'm running on crazy.)

Beans & Farmers Market

Happy Monday Everyone!!

 I hope everyone is having a wonderful Monday. It is absolutely gorgeous outside! Take advantage of the beautiful weather and go sunbathe, head to the park, or drink some tea outside. Vitamin D is good for your body, plus it helps you be in a better mood.

 Today... I should spend the whole day outside. Pretty sad... gave Beans up last night. I'm having a rough day with it today. Miss that little guy.

 I have some beautiful pictures to share with you guys though! I *finally* made it to the Farmer's Market! Oh my. Life changed. It is the cutest thing ever!!

Walkin' on Sunshine...

 I've been a bit MIA this week.

 Blaming it on Beans.  (That's the puppy. Not anything related to actual eating of  beans. *thank goodness! haha* )

 He takes up a lot of my time. But. I really love him.

 We may have found a nice family to take him though... They have two little boys, and the mom stays at home. So we will see if that happens...

 He would be happy.

 I will cry though.

He is the best napping buddy. He is such a cuddle buddy. He follows me everywhere I go.

Brannon says we can keep him, but in my heart I know he would be so much happier with a couple kids he could play with all the time, and a mommy that would be home all the time. *sigh*

 On a happy happy note! Its has been GORGEOUS outside!! I love sitting outside, drinking my tea, and doodling in the morning. *happiness*

 I think I am FINALLY going to get to go to the farmers market today! I know.. I said I was going last week, but I didn't get the chance. So today my mom promised she would go with me.

 ** See mom- its on the blog, you can't not go now!! hehe

 Maybe I can talk her into going to the thrift store with me too... Gonna have to make sure she reads this blog post this morning. :))

 Also, this weekend we are going to all (my whole family) go on a fun bike ride around their new neighborhood. Its super nice with TONS of walking trials, bridges, and water. I can't wait to spend more time outside!!

  On a random note... does anyone else have THE. HARDEST. TIME. spelling the word definitely. Seriously. I have to stop for a long time and slowly type it... and then use spell check. I hate that word. 

 Okay... as for the "complication" in my life... 

 Yes... its a dog. NO. We have not decided if we are going to keep him yet. I shall explain... 

My friend Taylor found Beans (yes- SHE named him Beans, not us, haha) in the middle of the road when he was just a few weeks old. So, naturally, she took him in and has had him for over a month. Unfortunately, she has a dog already, and is going to school full time, and owns a business... (the girl is a beast)... so she can't keep little Beans. 

 So, why me??? Well, my SISTER (in trouble) sent me the cutest picture of Beans. Naturally I said, "Aww, he's so cute! Who's is he?" And she said he needs a home, do you want him? 

 Crap. 

 Yeah! But.. No. Omgosh he is so cute.

 Crap. . . Why aren't you ugly?

 So I texted Brannon the picture and asked him if he wanted him. He said "We'll talk about it tonight." Whattt??! The boy didn't say NO?  

 *please note ^ that is 100% true, and I wrote that because if he reads this he will see that it was not all my fault that he is at home with me right now* :)) 

 So, I got out of school early and asked Taylor if I could stop by to see him... So I did. And.. I brought him  home to see Brannon. 

 So... we're in love with him. But SUPER nervous about having a dog!

 Are we ready? Its gonna be a lot of work. We are both on the go constantly. He would have to stay in his kennel for 7 hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays while I am at school. And that is just THIS semester. I don't know what my fall schedule will be yet. 

 We're used to being independent... we go and do whatever we want, whenever we want. I know we can leave him in his kennel while we go and do things... Its just, the fact that someone else is relying on you. 

 GAHH!!! Do you feel the pressure?? Seriously, someone with advice HELP US. Beans is here at home on a "trial" run for a few days. We love him, but we're nervous.

-Trip to Louisiana for Brannon's Grandmothers 75th Birthday
-Craw-fish
-Crazy Uncle Jerry
-Beautiful oak trees
-Sitting on the "nursing home" porch with the in-laws and grandparents. (The family jokingly calls Nana & Mr. Bills house the "nursing home" and we sit on the porch and giggle at people driving by and say they need to send money to us and reserve a spot). Its so fun. :))
-Watching "Stubbs" the cat, eating at his spot.
-Pizza and Billionaire Lofts In NYC TV show.
-Lots of good memories

The Real Deal.

 I decided I would share some more things "about me." I realize they are random. But... I am really random, like all day. :))

 The Thing About Joy (me)... 

-I was home schooled K-12th grade. While it made me who I am today (which I wouldn't change for the world!) I hated it.

-I have had the hardest time figuring out what to do with my life.

-I gained "post wedding" weight. Too much. And am working my booty off to get it off.

-I used to hate twitter. Now I love it.

-I used to love Facebook. Now I hate it.

-I stress myself out because I have 100,000,000 things in my head of things I "want to do" but I don't have time to do. So I am learning I need to make lists and keep them somewhere. Seriously. Its bad.

-I love watching TV shows like: Project Runway, Americas Next Top Model, WipeOut!, Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, & How I Met Your Mother.

-I don't have cable (that's that they call it right??) so we watch tv shows on netflix or the computer. :))

-I have no desire to go on a Cruise.

-I really want to own my own successful business one day. Or be in a graphic design job that I LOVE. *they can both go together*

The Thing About Joy (the real deal)...

 - There used to be an empty lot next to my house, and now they built a house right next to me and it kinda killed my neighborhood view from where I sit at my desk. I'm pretty sad about it.
